BrickHouse GPS Appoints Liana Bertsch as CFO to Lead Acquisition Finance

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — BrickHouse GPS has named Liana Bertsch as its new Chief Financial Officer, putting a finance leader who guided $150 million in company sales in charge of acquisition finance. As BrickHouse GPS CFO, Bertsch will lead the financial side of the company’s acquisitions following its recapitalization with Grady Bay Capital, at a time when telematics consolidation is reshaping the fleet telematics industry.

BrickHouse GPS provides GPS tracking, fleet telematics, asset tracking, dash camera, and connected-vehicle software to business and government fleets.

Why Telematics Consolidation Puts Finance at the Center

Fleet telematics is consolidating. As larger providers absorb smaller regional ones, deal diligence and the integration of acquired subscription bases move to the center of the CFO role.

Every acquisition brings its own contracts, billing systems, and customer commitments. Getting those terms right determines whether an acquired customer base becomes a source of growth or a source of churn. For a company building through acquisitions, the finance team shapes which deals get done, how they are structured, and what customers experience after the transition.

What the New BrickHouse GPS CFO Brings to Acquisition Finance

A CFA charterholder and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, Canada) with an MBA in Finance, Bertsch brings more than 15 years of finance and operations leadership across SaaS, e-commerce, manufacturing, engineering, and professional services businesses.

At CFO Centre, she led the sale of two companies for a combined $150 million. She has also led the accounting for a $500 million acquisition and, as an in-house CFO, acquired and integrated two companies.

Her experience spans both sides of the table, selling businesses as well as buying and integrating them, which gives her a working view of how deal terms play out once the paperwork is signed.

Bertsch Will Own Deal Economics and Pricing

As CFO, Liana Bertsch will lead financial strategy, capital structure, and the financial side of acquisitions as BrickHouse GPS brings additional businesses onto its platform. She will also own the pricing architecture behind the company’s no-contract-required option and longer-term agreements.
